Meet the staff and volunteers of the Association.
Nazia Ahmed - financial administrator. Nazia is first point of contact at the Association.
She also gives valuable support to youth and community projects.
Ainul Islam - community advice worker. Ainul works closely with the business and
religious community and is involved in many community initiatives.
Waliur ‘Dilu’ Rahman - Trustee Member and After School Club volunteer. Dilu works
for the city council but dedicates much of his free time to supporting youth.
Lily Islam - Manager. Lily has worked as an Advice Worker since 1992. Lily is the
voice of wisdom at the Association, acts as liaison with schools and supports women’s
initiatives.
Shahnaz Chowdhury - advice worker. Shahnaz not only provides excellent advice but
has been key to the successful infrastructure of the Association.
Abdul Wahab MBE - Elderly liaison/project leader. Mr Wahab has been central to community
development since the 60s and still keeps us on our toes!
Saiqa Ahmad - Trustee Member & After School Club volunteer. Recent to the UK from
Bangladesh and highly educated Saiqa has been invaluable working with the younger
children.
Mel Rose - After School Club volunteer. Mel is an early learning expert but has been
a star providing 1-2-1 maths tuition and activities support for older children.
Amer Salman - Manager. Amer is our strategic expert, finds funding, trains the staff
and develops the Association’s capacity to support the community.
Saleh Ahmad - Trainer. The multi-talented Saleh trains caterers in Food & Hygiene
practices, and other related industry courses for the Association.
