ADULT TRAINING - COMPUTERS & IT (Information Technology)

Computer training is provided on a one to one basis or in small groups. This is no longer a free service as funding has run out. Our staff provide tuition at a rate of £10 per hour for individuals and at discounted rates for groups.

What is involved in our computers and IT training?

Well, first we assess what you need. Then we advise if this is for you, and if it is we develop a course for you to cover what you need.

Your course can cover training on:

How a computer works and the parts of a computer

How to use the Internet - including protecting your children from harmful content

How to use email

How to word process using a computer (create letters, CV, posters, etc)

How to use spreadsheets

Applying for jobs online

Paying bills and managing finances online

Communicating with friends and family using a computer

If there is something else you want to learn on computer - ask us!

The course is designed to help those with little or no skills, to teach enough that attendees finish with the self confidence to go on to learn more elsewhere, apply for jobs where these skills are needed and be able to use a computer at home.
